Hexagonal cap nuts, also called dome nuts, are a combination of a hexagonal nut and a spherical cap dome. Widely used in automobile, machinery, electrical, large-scale construction and other fields. Cap nuts are usually made of brass, steel, stainless steel (low carbon content) or nylon in sizes M4-M24. They can also be chromed and given a mirror finish. The function of the cap nut is to tighten and cover the exposed parts on the outside to prevent moisture or other corrosive substances from entering, thereby preventing rust and extending the service life of itself and the connecting parts.
